When someone nearby searches for a plumber, a dentist or a pizza place, Google usually shows a map with three businesses before any regular results. Most calls go to one of those three. If your business isn’t there, it’s invisible to the people most ready to buy, however good your website is.
Local SEO services are the work of getting into that box and staying there, across the whole area you serve. They also cover the regular results underneath it, for the searches that matter to your business.
What our local SEO services include
Google’s own guidance on local ranking says results depend mainly on relevance, distance and prominence, and that there’s no way to pay for a better position. Every local program we run is built around those three factors:
- Relevance. Your Google Business Profile categories, services and description, plus website pages that match what customers search.
- Distance. You can’t move your address, but reviews, photos and pages from the areas you serve strengthen your connection to them.
- Prominence. Reviews, consistent listings, local links and mentions that show real people know your business.
Relevance: tell Google exactly what you do
Relevance starts with the primary category on your Google Business Profile, the single setting that matters most and is often wrong. An “HVAC contractor” and an “air conditioning repair service” can both describe the same business, but they compete in different searches.
We compare your categories with the businesses that rank where you want to be, then fill in secondary categories, services and a description in the words customers use. The website has to agree, with a clear page for each main service.
Distance: strength across your service area
Rankings on the map shift as the searcher moves. A business can rank first near its address and disappear two miles away.
We track your position from a grid of points across your area every month. Where you fade out, we add reviews from customers there, photos from local jobs and, where there’s something real to say, a page for that part of town.

Prominence: reviews, listings and mentions
Google’s help pages say more reviews and positive ratings can help local ranking, and customers read them before calling. We set up review requests after every job, inside Google’s rules on incentives and selective asking.
Consistent listings matter too. Your name, address and phone should match across Apple Maps, Bing, Yelp, Facebook and the directories in your field. Local links and mentions, from sponsorships to suppliers, round it out.
A normal month
Each month starts with the map grid: where you rank across your area, where you’ve gained and where you’ve slipped. We pick the two or three areas or services that need the most attention and work on those.
The routine work runs alongside. Profile updates, new photos, review replies, listing fixes and, when there’s something worth saying, a new or improved local page. The report at the end shows calls first, then rankings and the work done.
Local SEO: Texas service areas are big
Texas service areas can be enormous. A roofer in Fort Worth may cover four counties, and a vet in a small town may draw clients from forty miles away.
We plan local work around where your customers actually come from, not around city limits. In big metros that means winning neighborhood by neighborhood. In smaller markets, one strong profile can cover the whole county.
Choosing a local SEO company
A good local SEO company tracks rankings across your service area, not just from your front door, and reports calls rather than impressions. Ask whether they’ll touch your profile name or address, because keyword-stuffed names and virtual offices break Google’s guidelines.
Any local SEO agency you hire should keep your profile in your name, with their access as a manager you can remove at any time.
Cost, timing and results
What do local SEO services cost?
It depends on your category, competition and the size of your service area. Local SEO starts at $100 a month on its own, or $399 a month as part of the full plan with every service.
How long does local SEO take?
Profile fixes can show up in the map pack within a few weeks. Review growth and listings cleanup build over two to three months, and crowded markets take longer.
Will it bring in calls?
Calls, direction requests and website visits from your profile are tracked from the first month, alongside map grid rankings. Clients rate us 4.8 out of 5 across 148 Google reviews.
Frequently asked questions about local SEO
What is the Google map pack?
The box of three businesses on a map that appears above regular results for most local searches. For many service businesses it produces more calls than the website.
Can I rank in a city where I don’t have an office?
Often, but it’s harder. Google uses your verified address as a starting point, so you’ll rank most easily near it and need reviews and pages to reach further.
How many reviews do I need?
Enough to compete with the businesses in the top three for your searches, and a steady flow of new ones. Recency matters as much as the total.
Can I use a virtual office to rank in more places?
No. Google’s guidelines don’t allow virtual offices or mailbox addresses, and violations can get your profile suspended.
